Synchronized audio track from a vinyl rip of a Swedish pressing of "The Album".
The most noteworthy thing about this particular LP Pressing is the good quality master tapes which were used, compared to other LP pressings and the non-remastered CD's (at least, as far as this particular track goes). Now, as you might know "The Album" has a very unfortunate history from a sonic point of view, going back to the original LP pressings which, for some unknown reasons, came from a defective and distorted master tapes (especially "The Name Of The Game" was affected). The same bad tapes were also used for the original Polydor pressing and the subsequent CSR and Deluxe editions, but not so with the various Tretow and Astley remasters which were a clean transfers of the original studio tapes. But unfortunately, the Tretow and Astley remasters were either badly compressed and noise reduced (Astley), or had a very harsh and unpleasant EQ (Tretow). Having said that, "Take A Chance On Me" is one of the good sounding tracks on the LP's and non-remastered CD's (like the Polydor and Greatest hits Vol. 2), BUT in my opinion the track on this particular pressing (as well as TYFTM which you can hear on my other video) sounds superior to all the other LP's or non-remastered CD's, because it has wider soundstage, better voice separation, and more ambience (though maybe a bit thinner sound).
Hope you enjoy, and watch in 1080p!
